Afro House disc jockey, DJ Soso announces spring single “Call Me”

 

South African DJ and recording artist DJ Soso (real name Lebohang Motaung) is has released a South African Spring anthem, and an Afro-House single titled “Call Me” in collaboration with vocalist Mr OG Afroking (real name Fisani Moyo), co-producer Ozy Man (real name Karabo Modika).

Johannesburg, South Africa – [5 September, 2025] – Seasoned South African producer, recording artist and Lebohang Motaung alias DJ Soso has released a romantic Afro-House tune “Call Me” alongside Afro House crooner Mr OG Afroking, and instrumentalist Ozy Man. The lyrics for “Call Me” are that of a man who has travelled to the city of gold (Johannesburg) and is missing his lover who is back at his rural homestead. He then leaves a message for her to call him, saying “ngifonele dali” (Zulu for Call Me Darling).

Fitting the ever growing 3 Step sound, “Call Me” is an Afro-House tune enjoying warm reception in dance floors across the country and gaining increasing popularity on radio stations. The song features hypnotic dance percussions, a warm organ, a relentless acoustic guitar, as well groovy Afrocentric synthetic elements accompanied by Mr OG Afroking’s smooth vocals which include a catchy sing-a-long hook “Mawungekho ngiyagodola, sondela eduze tu” (without you I am cold, please come close to me). 

 

With a full spring tour to promote the song, a growing Tiktok challenge, and DJ Soso’s influence on the South African night-life, “Call Me” has all the right ingredients to become a national hit.
